The second chapter is now available in which Dr Cristina Monforte, Vice-Rector for Research, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer, and Director of the Department of Nursing, as well as Director of the WeCare Chair de UIC Barcelona.
Monforte, asked if her position in the Governing Board of the University gives a new impetus to the nursing profession, she explains that “it is a position that normalizes the academic development of a nurse before society. In a way, we normalize this profession as an academic discipline in its own right and in every way”.
This, in fact, is the purpose of the Decide Chair: a chair promoted in collaboration with the pharmaceutical company Boehringer-Ingelheim, focused on nursing leadership and focused on training future professionals so that they can improve the care they provide to patients and health system users.
