In the fourth episode of the Decide Podcast ‘Patient Safety and Quality Management Committee’, a continuation of the previous episode also related to drug safety, we have interviewed two professionals belonging to commissions that work on patient quality and safety, and two professors from the Nursing Department at UIC Barcelona who are researching the safe management of drugs.
The experts interviewed in this episode were Cristina Sagrera, a reference nurse for patient safety at the Quirón Group; Carolina Caro, nurse and member of the patient safety commission of the Asepeyo hospital; and Drs Mireia Llauradó and Encarna Rodríguez, professors in the Department of Nursing at UIC Barcelona and researchers in the line of safe drug management.
In addition, Dr. Llauradó and Dr. Rodríguez have directed a doctoral thesis in which two teaching methods in simulation have been compared and in which the transfer made by students to their practical environment has been assessed for a year in relation to medication management.
